What this notice covers
VOTE PLATFORM LIMITED is the controller for optional statistics on votegrain.com. We use them to understand which public product pages are useful and improve the website, with your consent.
This notice replaces the marketing-website-only statements about no analytics, necessary-only storage and unavailable optional settings in the Privacy and Cookie Notices dated 29 August 2026. Their Product and customer-contract provisions are unchanged. It does not amend an Order, Customer Agreement or DPA, and it does not replace the separate demo-request privacy notice.
It is your choice
Vercel Web Analytics loads only after you choose Allow analytics. Reject analytics is equally available. You can browse and request a demo without allowing it. We do not use this choice for advertising or marketing consent.
On an eligible public page, open Analytics settings and choose Reject analytics to stop further collection. Withdrawal does not undo processing already carried out with your consent. If analytics is disabled for the website, no choice panel or collection runs.
What is measured — and what is excluded
After consent, the service records public page names, visit times, browser and device details, approximate location and, where safe, the referring site's origin. Vercel also receives ordinary network information needed to receive the request. Its published privacy documentation describes request-derived visitor counting that resets within 24 hours; this is not a promise that all reporting data is deleted within 24 hours.
We remove URL queries and fragments, including enquiry-source tags. A referring URL containing more than a site's origin prevents collection. We do not send names, email addresses, form answers, ballot data or customer identifiers to analytics. No custom events, advertising identifiers, session replay or analytics cookies are enabled by this integration.
Only the homepage, pilot pages, voter/editor/organisation journeys, FAQ, security, example standards and AI-governance pages are eligible. Demo requests, demo privacy, legal notices, this notice, API routes and unknown pages are excluded. The Product app is not covered by this analytics integration.
The preference saved in your browser
votegrain:analytics-choice:v1 is first-party sessionStorage. It stores only allowed or denied for this tab session, not an identifier, and is not sent to Vercel. It lets the website respect your choice. Clearing the tab's storage removes that preference. If it cannot be saved safely, analytics stays off.
Necessary sign-in, security and demo-retry technology is described in the existing Cookie Notice and demo-request notice. Choosing Reject analytics does not disable those requested functions.
Provider, access and retention
Vercel provides the statistics service. Authorised Votegrain operators can view its dashboard. Vercel describes processing primarily in the United States and potentially elsewhere under its Data Processing Addendum, including applicable international-transfer provisions. We do not promise UK-only processing for website analytics.
Vercel's reporting window depends on the account plan; its current Pro documentation specifies 12 months. A reporting window is not a guarantee about deletion from every provider system. Provider retention and deletion follow its published privacy documentation and Data Processing Addendum. Votegrain does not create a separate person-level analytics database or join these statistics to demo requests or Product accounts.
Questions and your rights
For privacy questions or rights requests, contact demo@votegrain.com with the subject Privacy request. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object where applicable, or withdraw consent. We may not be able to identify your individual statistics because we do not attach your name or email to them. Do not send sensitive information to try to identify a visit.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. If the purpose or scope of analytics materially changes, we will update this notice and request a new choice before that new processing begins.
