Reporting helps permitted readers explore the evidence across compatible, released decisions. It is not a general-purpose research questionnaire.

Boards, programme teams, policy groups and member organisations that need a clear decision process. An Organisation Admin manages access and publication; Initiative Editors prepare decisions; Voters take part; Analysts and other permitted readers review evidence. A job title alone does not grant those permissions.

Examples include board and committee choices, programme or project gates, policy decisions, investment priorities and supplier selection. The useful starting point is one real choice with clear alternatives, an identified decision owner and people who are eligible to take part.

Start with one decision: agree the scope and success measures, prepare the context and options, check the voter journey, run the vote and review the released evidence. Your organisation keeps authority over its people and decisions. One pilot tests that journey; patterns across decisions need a longer, compatible history.

When the enquiry route is open, your request goes to the Votegrain team for review and follow-up using the details you provide. It does not book a calendar slot or activate a service. If requests are temporarily unavailable, the page says so and does not collect your details.

An Initiative Editor prepares the decision and options. An Organisation Admin checks readiness and publishes it. Eligible Voters read the context, compare the options and vote while voting is open. After closing and an authorised release, Analysts and other permitted readers can inspect aggregate results within their scope.

Sign in to the product and follow your organisation's participation instructions. You must be eligible for the decision. Organisation-code participation still requires sign-in and the organisation's email and joining checks; a code does not make voting public.

No. You can review your choice before submitting, but your ballot is recorded once and cannot be changed afterwards. The receipt confirms that it was recorded without displaying your choice.

Yes, when the decision is set up for anonymous voting. The voting page tells you whether the ballot is anonymous or named. Identity is retained for integrity checks, not shown as another person's ballot. Small anonymous populations are protected by withholding identifying results or breakdowns.

Results are not live. Voting must close and the result must pass the organisation's release and privacy controls. You can then see only the information your role permits. Some figures may remain withheld for privacy even after a result is released.

The question, context, options, participation, released result and permitted reporting stay connected. Reusable standards help make decisions consistent. Where enabled, an Organisation Admin can also record the formal decision and follow-through; these do not change the vote result.

Supporting material is stored as a link or reference on the decision or an option. HTTPS links are clickable; other references remain readable as text. Votegrain does not import, mirror or synchronise linked content, so the source system remains responsible for its availability and access controls.

No. AI never recommends or chooses an option. Optional post-vote AI Story interpretation uses released aggregate evidence for authorised management readers, with separate review and release controls. An author-only format check can flag structure before publication, but cannot evaluate options or block publication. Deterministic results and reporting do not depend on AI.
