Necessary technology

Votegrain uses only the cookies and browser storage needed to provide requested website and product functions in the first-pilot profile. Blocking them can prevent sign-in, a one-time welcome screen, secure invitation or share access, or safe retry of a demo request.

Non-essential technology

Votegrain does not use analytics, advertising, behavioural, session-replay, social-media or marketing cookies in the first-pilot website or product profile. If non-essential technology is introduced, it will not run until the required consent choice is available and this inventory is updated.

Current inventory

• Supabase authentication cookies: first-party, strictly necessary cookies used to establish, refresh and end a signed-in product session. Their names may include the connected Supabase project identifier and token chunks. They last for the authenticated session or refresh-token lifetime and are cleared or invalidated on sign-out or expiry.
• votegrain_product_welcome_v1: a first-party, HTTP-only, SameSite=Lax product cookie that remembers whether a signed-in user has seen the one-time welcome screen. It is Secure in production, applies across the product path and expires after one year.
• cvote:demo-enquiry:pending-request-id: first-party sessionStorage on the marketing website that gives an in-progress demo request an idempotency key so a retry does not create a duplicate. It remains only for the browser tab session and is removed after success or when the tab closes.
• cvote.external-share.credential: first-party sessionStorage in the product that temporarily carries an external-share credential for the current browser tab. It is removed after use, when the user clears the flow, or when the tab closes.
• Sentry receives redacted error and performance diagnostics when enabled, but the first-pilot configuration does not use Sentry cookies, session replay or attachments.

Changing a choice

Because the current inventory is strictly necessary, there is no optional cookie setting to change. Browser controls can remove cookies or sessionStorage, but doing so may sign the user out, repeat the welcome screen, end a share flow or cause an in-progress form retry to receive a new reference. Votegrain will provide accept and reject controls before any non-essential technology is introduced.
